Known as Unique Dreams Entertainment from 1978-1983, Uncle Jamm's Army is an American hip-hop and electro-hop group based out of Los Angeles, California. The founding members are Roger Clayton, Gid Martin, and Alonzo Williams. However, the whole party line-up and production crew included others and would fluctuate from year to year, with numerous acts pursuing side projects, most notably, the The Egyptian Lover. The Army promoted parties in Torrance and at the Sports Arena in the 70s and 80s that were groundbreaking events where there was breaking, rapping, and graffiti, the three elements of hip-hop. Once old school west coast hip-hop was on solid footing in 1983, Uncle Jamm's Army started releasing commercial singles such as "What's Your Sign", "Dial-a-Freak", and "Yes, Yes, Yes."
