Twisted Halo was a rock band from the Philippines that formed in 1999. Coming up with their own brand of music, their sound is characterized as texture-oriented, ambient and likewise, melodic with groove-based rhythms, defying the multiple borders of musical genre -- musical structures that can be (un) mistakably defined as rock, folk or spoken.
Twisted Halo was composed of Vin Dancel on vocals/guitar, Jason Caballa on guitar/vocals, Joey Odulio on guitar, Buddy Zabala on bass and Monmon Lopez on drums. Ex-drummer Richard Cruz of Put3ska was also part of the group. However, had to leave for personal reasons. Their former bassist was Jal Taguibao who currently plays bass for Sugarfree
They independently recorded a 7-song self-titled EP produced by Buddy Zabala and Raimund Marasigan of the Eraserheads with the help of co-producer Ferdie Balanag . It was released in 2001.
"In Loving Memory of the Fearless Exploits of the Bolo Brigade" is their first and only full-length album. It was released under their own label, Guilty Pleasure Records in 2004. It featured the singles Breakable, Asan Na?, Miron and Public Service Announcement.
The band announced their breakup in 2006. They performed their farewell set in May 25 that year.
They have unreleased tracks, "Undressed" and "Nyssa", which they used to play during their gigs.
