Biography

A singer and composer, Tiago Araripe had his first album Cabelos de Sansão (produced in 1982 by the Lira Paulistana label) rediscovered by Zeca Baleiro, then re-released in CD 26 years after its original release by Baleiro's label Saravá Discos. He also produced and was the content director for the Jacinto Silva CD No Coração da Gente, a tribute from Link advertising agency to this composer and interpreter. Tiago also took part in the making of movies soundtracks like the award-winning Sargento Getúlio and the yet unreleased Aos Ventos que Virão, feature length movies directed by Hermano Penna. He also worked together with Tom Zé, had partnerships with Décio Pignatari and was part of the Papa Poluição band (1975-1980), together with José Luiz Penna, Paulo Costa, Xico Carlos, Beto Carrera and Bill Soares/Cid Campos. His new album Baião de Nós is currently in post-production and will be released by Candeeiro Records label.
