This Side of Town is a pop/rock band formed in Vancouver, BC, CA in 2010. This Side of Town is a high-energy pop/rock band based out Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada in 2010. Their music fuses together driving beats and punchy guitar riffs accompanied by expressive lyricism. The band's style is similar to that of Paramore, Tonight Alive, We Are The In Crowd and VERSA. The band currently consists of Melanie Dawn Ast (lead vocals), Jennifer Lai (rhythm guitar), Connor Krawelitzki (bass guitar/backup vocals), Ryan Fournier (lead guitar) and Chris Kavanagh (drums). While focusing on creating a stage show that attracts a wide variety of audiences, This Side of Town also set aside time to pump out their debut EP “#TheStreets”, which was released at their near sold out EP release show on December 27th, 2013. The EP includes songs with depth and feeling as well as upbeat pop tracks. “#TheStreets” is now available for sale on iTunes and CD Baby.
