Winnipeg has been good to The Treble. The city that the boys call home has provided lyrical and musical inspiration, an incredible music scene, and most importantly, the motivation to grow and pursue bigger dreams.
With funding from FACTOR and MFM, and the help of local producer/engineer Chris Burke-Gaffney, The Treble’s first E.P. saw a 3-piece acoustic project evolve into an exciting 5-piece
band. Consistently receiving airplay on several radio stations, coverage in local print media, and dubbed ‘One of my favourite releases of the year’ by HOT 103’s Young Mike, ‘Shaking Hands and Taking Names’ is a product of an honest love of music, friends, and seeing the world.
Loving nothing more than to perform live, The Treble are ever thankful for the opportunity to use the stage to engage audiences new and old. Most recently spurred on by enthusiastic crowds at Dauphin’s CountryFest and a sold-out CD release party, The Treble are constantly inspired by the opportunities provided to them by their fans.
With a knack for doing things their own way, The Treble, in collaboration with the Canadian Red Cross, recently performed 24 shows in 24 hours, as a means of raising funds in support of relief efforts in the Horn of Africa. The Treble pride themselves on creating honest music with an ambitious message, and will continue to pay tribute to their hometown by sharing their music and experiences with those from all walks of life. Read more on Last.fm.
