The formation of Maximus occurred within the boundaries of mind institutions (aka high school). Quarrels first dwelled within the three, but later monumentus triumphs ensued. Within the empirical world Maximus leaves behind an Empire, a Legacy, and this Credo: Maximus - Of the Universe To the Universe For the Universe Fernand Asadi formed the band in 2001 with Omar Rodriguez on drums and Guillermo Gomez on bass. Daniel Becker took over Gomez's place. They're a hard-to-define blend of indie, classic rock, death metal, old-school rap, new wave and about 17 other branches on the family tree of rock. It's a high-wire act between out-there experimentalism and irresistible hooks designed to make feet tap and heads bang. Fernand's vocoder makes him sound, at turns, like a chipmunk MC or a drowsy demon.
