The Loveblisters was an indie pop band that formed in Tempe, AZ in 2003. Since its inception, the band has released a 7 song EP, a full length record and played several high profile shows. In January of 2007, the Loveblisters began recording their second full length album with producer Jamie Woolford. After months of meticulous work in Woolford's home studio, the band had completed their most ambitious record to date, The Nowhere West. Songs on the record draw from a vast array of influences such as Queen, ELO, the Beach Boys, the Beatles, Scott Joplin, old Vaudville and turn-of-the-century country and bluegrass. Thematically, the album delves into the fragility of the American dream. Since the release of their first record, the Loveblisters have been featured on local television and radio and have also appeared in several publications including the Phoenix New Times, The Arizona Republic, Get Out Magazine, College Times, The Rep and The State Press. The band has also been voted “best pop band” three years in a row by the readers of the Phoenix New Times and performed at the Tempe Music Festival in March 2008. In mid-2009, the Loveblisters dissolved, and lead singer Rob Kroehler went on to form a new band called Ladylike. Ladylike released their first EP in November of that year and released their eponymous debut album in April 2012. Read more on Last.fm.
