Born from the remnants of Los Angeles' punk, mod and Paisley Underground of the late 1980s, the members of The Love In were still in their teens and early twenties when they burst onto the scene with their self-produced EP, which Randy Lewis of the L.A. Drummer Scott Kellems had been in punk legends Shattered Faith and Dischords, and bassist/vocalist Kurt Stake had played with mod outfit The Jetz, when they joined with teen guitarist/vocalist Tom Sheppard.
