The Jonah Veil was a metalcore band from Manchester, New Hampshire, United States. Guitarists Remy and Derek Normandin had no intensions of slowing down after the collapse of Southern, New Hampshire Metalcore band "All Is Forgotten" in early 2006. Within weeks they had found Drummer Corey Cain (Regret Me Not) and Vocalist Patrick Bosse (In Forever). The lineup only lasted so long before leaving The Jonah Veil with Drummer Jason DiCicco (Red On The Day, A Tree To Hang From) and Bassist Nate Chaney (Black Onyx). After two months of writing and preparing for studio time Drummer / former Texan Keith Crowling was carefully place into the mold, and brought into the studio to record the debut two song E.P recorded at A.I by Scott Somethington. Another lineup change brought Acton, MA native, Johnny Kay, into the picture replacing Nate Chaney as Bassist. The band, with there updated roster, completed a 7 song EP the late summer of 2007 and are on a wrecking ball campaign across the country. The release The End Of A Burden was out in late 2007 on 13 Star Records. The Jonah Veil's beautifully brutal style of songwriting offers a different sound than most. With influences such as Misery Signals, Means, A Day To Remember and Vanna, this dedicated group will continue to step up to the plate armed with musicianship, technicality and an intense live performance thats not to be reckoned with. As The Jonah Veil family conceptualize their musical direction and grow as people they are getting closer and closer to becoming an unstoppable force in the New England music scene.
