1) The Groove is a band from Tbilisi, Georgia. It was formed in 2012.
2) The Groove were a soul/R’n’B orientated supergroup, formed in 1967 Melbourne, Australia, fronted by Peter Williams of Max Merritt & The Meteors fame. They broke up in 1971. Their most successful single was a cover of Sam Cooke’s “Soothe Me” (1968).
3) The Groove were a pop-jazz group from Indonesia, formed in 1997, fronted by male-female vocalists Reza and Rieka Roeslan. Rieka went on to form her own solo career
{b)4) The Groove - were a rock/soul band from Limerick, Ireland, active between 1984 -1989. The line up included Alan Cheevers (RIP) - guitar & vocals, Paul Healy - vocals & guitar, Brian Healy - bass, Brendan Wallace - drums. The Groove played a mixture of their own original material as well as covers and had a bit of a " mod revival" following. Their debut single titled Blue Blue Monday// Love for money was released in 1987 and reached number 19 in the Irish charts, and supported David Bowie at Slane castle in the same year on a bill that also included Big Country and Aslan. They recorded at least one 3 track demo in 1988, described by Hot Press magazine as using a building, brassy approach. Brendan Wallace was eventually replaced by Clive Cheevers with the band splitting in 1989.
