The Gorgeous was a short-lived but highly inventive post-hardcore/metalcore band from British Columbia, Canada.
They started out with the release of the EP 'The Skyline Shoreline' and later the full-length, 'Great Lakes', in 2005 on the Dine Alone/Distort Entertainment label. In 2007 they announced they were breaking up. Many fans protested and signed petitions to keep them together. They left unreleased tracks including Tallsmanville Miners, Great Minds, Pamplemouse, Nooner, and I Can't Remember (Tracks can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/user/xthegorgeousx/videos)
After The Gorgeous ended guitarist Kevin Keegan was in a band called Dead Quiet, and still is. Bassist Julien Brousseau became a sound guy for Cancer Bats and also a band called Pup. Miguel Shaw played drums in some smaller indie bands and Hal Ferris played guitar in a few black metal bands.
