The General Specific are a band formed in October 2008 in Leuven, Belgium. Marten and Jan had been friends for some time and decided it was time to start a band. Nick completed the party of three. It didn't take long before they decided to name the band The General Specific, after a song by Band of Horses. The band's music is slightly influenced by the band's favourite artists, such as The Beatles, The National, Death Cab For Cutie, Bloc Party, The Whitest Boy Alive, Arctic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand, Editors, Kings of Leon, WIlco, Maxïmo Park, Belle and Sebastian, Starsailor, Soulwax etc. But blended all together this gives a unique indie sound which makes this band what it is. <a href="https://www.last.fm/music/The+General+Specific">Read more on Last.fm</a>.
