The Championettes was a woman's group that lasted for only a short, but rather succesfull period. The four ladies of The Championettes are the main female actresses of the most succesfull Belgian sitcom F.C. De Kampioenen, broadcasted on één.
In 1993 they accepted a challenge from another één programme De Droomfabriek to start a woman's group. They made one album with some hits and toured through Flanders. After that, the ladies decided to quit, though they were quite popular.
The ladies can still be seen at work in F.C. De Kampioenen, which will broadcast its 17th (!) season in December 2006! <a href="https://www.last.fm/music/The+Championettes">Read more on Last.fm</a>.
