(2005 - 2006) The Blackburn Collective was formed when Vivek Mahajan walked down an allyway in Columbus Ohio and ran into former highschool schoolmate Sandeep Sehbi. The two began a songwriting partnership which culminated in the formation of The Blackburn Collective. Recordings were made in Sehbi's apartment in the winter of 2005 and in a Dayton, Ohio studio in the spring of 2006. Mahajan passed away on April 9th 2006 and The Blackburn Collective album release was put on hold. Sehbi continued on with the name for awhile longer before finally discarding it in favor of his own name. In 2009 Sehbi gathered and released all available The Blackburn Collective recordings. Vivek was a former member of Columbus Ohio bands Asthmo and The Manican Republic. Sandeep is a former member of Columbus Ohio band Snowden's Silent Canvas and currently part of Columbus Ohio band The Welsh Assembly and releases solo content under his own name and under his alias Deganwy's Lost Son. <a href="https://www.last.fm/music/The+Blackburn+Collective">Read more on Last.fm</a>.
