Tenmon is mostly known as the composer for animated movies directed by Makoto Shinkai. He has composed soundtracks for Shinkai’s works since 1999 starting with Shinkai’s first directed project, Kanojo to Kanojo no neko (She and Her Cat). Tenmon is perhaps most well-known for composing the soundtracks to Shinkai’s Hoshi no Koe (Voices from a Distant Star), and Kumo no Mukou, Yakusoku no Basho (Beyond the Clouds, the Promised Place aka The Place Promised in Our Early Days). As of 2007, Tenmon’s most recent works are the soundtrack to Shinkai’s Byousoku Go Senchimeetoru (Five Centimeters Per Second) and the anime “Ef: A tale of Memories”. <a href="https://www.last.fm/music/+noredirect/Tenmon">Read more on Last.fm</a>.
