Teen Flirt is the alias of Mexican musician and producer David Oranday (also known as Cheeks); under this name he makes music with a variety of influences, including elements of future bass, trip hop, sometimes even sounding like some kind of futuristic hip hop. He tends to use samples nurtured from r&b, as well as frequently working with drum machines. His sets tend to convey a smooth vibe that travels within enchanting atmospheres. He uses many different resources to produce his music, however, he tends to structure his songs through synthesizers and pads in a conventional way, what really makes the difference is the quite unique musical style he has, which is guided by the sophisticated musical vision and understanding that Teen Flirt possesses. Something that he knows how to capture in the music he produces, from his own sonic interpretation proposing quite captivating alternatives, with a special 'feeling' within his productions, while navigating a quite interesting musical dynamism that can be felt within his tracks, as well as how it is usually reflected within his sets. He is undoubtedly a musical exponent who has contributed to and made the scene grow within the national scene; although he has not released any new tracks for three years, his work with his label has kept him busy, and contributing from other flanks. He is the founder and promoter of Finesse Records, a Mexican collective and label that focuses on promoting and disseminating fresh music, innovative proposals, a project that has undoubtedly given him a wide and invaluable experience within the industry.
