Born in Calgary, Alberta, McRae moved with her family to Oman at age two due to her father’s work and lived there for three years, attending The American International School Muscat. She began recreational dance training at age six, and upon returning to Calgary at age eight, she trained more intensively, competing with Drewitz Dance Productions. From age 11, she trained in multiple dance styles at YYC Dance Project, a company owned by her mother, and studied ballet at the School of Alberta Ballet. She graduated from Western Canada High School online in 2021. McRae achieved several accolades in dance before her music career.
