Tanned Christ are an Australian grindcore/math-metal band based in Sydney, New South Wales. The band consists of vocalist Drew Gardner (Totally Unicorn), guitarist Christopher Davies (making), bassist Peter Kossen (also of making; who replaced original bassist Matt Saliba) and drummer Ivan Lisyak (The Paper Scissors, Philadelphia Grand Jury). Forming in 2013, the band released a two-track demo via Soundcloud in November and played their first show the following month with King Parrot at Sydney's Annandale Hotel. Another track, entitled "Whoever Wins Gets Born," was released in January 2014. The band released their debut EP, Edifice, independently in February 2014.
