Suborno exists to find the music that relays thought, impulse and emotion from the unconscious before constructing a form or structure around an otherwise free flow. Using random tunings and an impulsive recording technique, these lo-fi recordings take the form of an experimental and experiential journey. Having spent well over a decade in bands hungry for success, The Instrument is Suborno's debut solo album. Following a musical hiatus of two years before being inspired by improvisational techniques used in music and theatre, The Instrument finds Suborno focusing on the creative process and not simply vying for results. The album was written and recorded at home during the summer of 2011 using two acoustic guitars, general household items and a PC.
