Dutch pop group Stereo Apollo is formed by Jacques Beljaars(drums), Eric Maas (bass guitar), Joost Maltha (vocals), Paul van Weert (guitar) & Leon van Egmond (hammond). Without pretence the band creates an original sound referring to such likes as The Cure, Pavement and contemporary britpop. Effortlessly the songs switch from serious and emotional to self mockery and irony. In 1998 they record their only album 'A Deja Vu Just Passed Me By' which remains unpublished till this day. The band itself was forced to split up due to unfortunate illness of both Maas and Maltha in 1999. However, thanks to the success of the final track Careful for the Undertow on Garageband.com, where the song has been in the Rock Top 10 and Alternative Top 3 for over 2 years now (after Haircut In Flames got a #1 position a year earlier), the band is still gaining audience as the Internet's best kept secret. <a href="https://www.last.fm/music/Stereo+Apollo">Read more on Last.fm</a>.
