Born and raised in Katmandu, Nepal, Sohm first started out music by playing rock and metal at local tourist bars before moving to Ohio at the age of 18 in 2008. In Ohio, he attended the university, Miami of Ohio and graduating, living a relatively normal life and now residing in Denver. However when the pandemic hit, he decided to write an album. His self-titled 12 track album, "Sohm" was written with the intention of bringing different perspectives of different places he has been. For example, he has songs about this particular Red Tree and "In The Morning" reflects on his place in life.
