Smola (& band) was a croatian rock band formed and led by Ante Smolcic - Smola. They, or better to say he, recorded only one demo called Alternativa which had 9 songs (+ bonus, first recorded version of a song "Ja sam ludjak") that lasted somewhere around 25 minutes. Smola itself stated on his webpage that the band had a variety of influences - some of them include Faith No More, Megadeth and varoius alternative and death metal bands, though he also stated that just because of the influences it can't be said that it's any original or any good. One of better known songs from that album is a cover of famous Red Hot Chili Peppers song Under the Bridge called "Ispod mosta pizde nikad dosta" which included even some death metal influences. Last show of Smola & Band was played in Mochvara, March 13th 2002. There have been some hints that second demo could be recorded somewhere in the future, but the band is currently on hiatus.
