From the band's beginnings in 2008 as a bedroom-pop solo project, Selena Salang's (vocals and guitar) talent for writing infectious songs has since been augmented by the addition of Marc Inting (bass), Erwin Hilao (drums), and Russ Davis (guitar). Slow Hello is an assembly of musicians from some of Metro Manila's independent acts: Ang Bandang Shirley, Twin Lobster, and The Strangeness. In 2011, they released the songs "Minty Fresh" and "Cold Turkey" under Number Line Records to the delight of listeners both in the Philippines and abroad. Slow Hello carried out a successful crowd-sourced fundraising campaign through Artiste Connect to raise money for a full-length release in 2013. The single "You Know It's You" was digitally released in October of the same year as a preview of their debut album and was received positively by listeners, peers and music press outfits such as Pinoytuner, Radio Republic, Vandals On The Wall, and Splintr. The band launched its album Audio Baby on November 16, 2013 under Number Line Records. They also released a music video of their single, “You Know It’s You” last February 14, 2014.
