Six D were a short-lived British street dance group and band who formed in early 2011 and split up in January 2012. The band was made up of six members, hence the name Six D, short for Six Dimensions. The members were Chantelle Bernard, Pierre Angus, Kieran Edmonds, Kimmy Campbell, Cassie Macmillan and Levon De Silva. They ranged in age from 16 (Levon) to 24 (Kieran). The band performed a school tour throughout the UK during 2010 and 2011 until the release of their first single "Best Damn Night" on 24 July 2011. They also toured with JLS and The Saturdays in 2011 and performed at T4 on the Beach 2011.
The band had previously done a number of events to publicise themselves. For example, they did a schools tour, street dancing performances in the streets of places such as Glasgow, Birmingham, London and Cardiff and interacting with fans on Facebook and Twitter. They also appeared on The Dance Scene on E! in two episodes, one recording the video for "Best Damn Night" and the other them performing as the opening act for JLS. Other songs they have written are "So Easy" and "2 Seconds". They have also done covers of songs such as Cee Lo Green's "Bright Lights Bigger City", as part of a selection called "How Six-D Do".
Six D did not perform too successfully on the Official Charts, with their debut single "Best Damn Night" placing at number 34 in the Top 40 and later singles failing to chart. Kieran Edmonds later left the group in Autumn 2011 and the group struggled, before deciding to split up in January 2012. As of 2012, after the split, Cassie Macmillan is performing in the West End, Kieran Edmonds is a backup dancer for various artists, Kimmy Campbell is a backup dancer and Levon De Silva and Pierre Angus have formed their own hip-hop duo, Symfonicz, where they rap, sing and dance. Read more on Last.fm.
