Shotgun Charlie is a hard rock/metal band from the North East of England, formed in 2011. Having formerly been a punk rock outfit, the band changed direction in favour of a heavier, riff based sound. So far, the band has been performing locally and recorded their first self titled EP, released in September 2012. The band originates from various parts of North East England including Middlesbrough, Whitby and Peterlee. The original line up of Mark on Vocals, Danny on Lead guitar, Glenn on Rhythm Guitar, Chris on Bass Guitar and Andy on Drums (the lineup that recorded the EP) has since seen Andy leave the band to focus on his academic studies. New drummer Connor adds another dimension to the band with a much heavier, thicker sound to match the pounding riffs and throaty vocals. The bands influences range from hard rock icons Guns 'n' Roses, Velvet Revolver and Steel Panther to heavier bands such as Nile, Metallica and Lamb of God.
