Shadowseeds is an esoterical metal / darkwave project from Sweden, formed by Thomas Karlsson and Tommie Eriksson. Thomas Karlsson is founder and head of magical order of Dragon Rouge, a Left-Hand Path initiatory organization. He has also written the vast majority of the lyrics for the symphonic metal band Therion since 1996. Tommie Eriksson (aka Tommy Eriksson) is best known as the songwriter, guitarist, and vocalist of occult stoner doom metal band Saturnalia Temple. He also played in Therion (as guitarist in 1995, drummer in 1996-97, and guitarist in 1997-98 on "Vovin" and "Crowning of Atlantis"). Shadowseeds released their first and only album "The Dream of Lilith" in 1995 on Dark Age/Megarock Records. The album was hardly at all promoted by the label and it sank with inertia into an esoteric underground cult status. In 2002 the project is resurrected as Shadowseeds II, to emphasizes the project's rebirth. Thomas wrote a unique text about the 17th-century Swedish occultist Johannes Bureus which created the basis for a live performance at the Ecstatic Society/Fylkingen in Stockholm together with acts like Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio and Coph Nia. In March 2003 Shadowseeds II performed at the Pandemonium Club in Gothenburg. In 2004 the first release was out based on the live performances.
