Aside from being one of the founding members of the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet, Tennant is also a renowned solo artist in the world of classical guitar. He is also a guitar instructer at the University of Southern California. In the past, he has released many guitar method books and videos, his most famous being Pumping Nylon . Along with his intructional videos, he has also released two solo albums, Wild Mountain Thyme (his Scottish themed album) and two other albums featuring work by the late Joaquín Rodrigo. He is also featured in many classical guitar compilations, such as Bibbity Boppity Bach! .
