Savage Beliefs were a Chicago, IL, USA-based punk band who existed from 1982 through 1984. They released one 7" EP in 1983 and also appeared on the 1984 compilation "Middle of America". Guitarist/vocalist Brian Gay had previously been a member of Washington DC-area hardcore bands Government Issue and Assault & Battery and continued to play in a number of Chicago-area bands for many years after. Drummer/vocalist Eric Cassell briefly reunited with Brian in The Watchmen and then went on to play in Permabuzz and guitarist Wes Tabayoyong went on to work in the film industry. In 2015, Alona's Dream Records released a compilation that included the EP and "Middle of America" tracks, along with previously unreleased songs that had been recorded in 1984 and meant for the Savage Beliefs movie. Read more on Last.fm.
