time sensitive is sam02’s debut studio album, his first full-length release since his February 2023 self-titled compilation, and his third project overall. The album shows off sam’s refined mix of dance, pop, and rap throughout its fifteen-track runtime, with songs like “puzzle” and “gloom” reminiscent of his April 2023 EP four stages in taking the more acoustic route of his unique blend of genres. The album was first teased with the promotional single “vice,” which was released in April 2024, followed by a snippet of the track “second guessing” on Instagram in July. sam then began previewing the outro to the album, “come see me,” heavily on Instagram reels throughout August. A music video for the track “bound to” was also previewed that month. The album was released on August 23, 2024, due to the snippets being highly received and marked the end of sam’s hiatus from social media from late 2023 to early 2024. sam stated that the album features newly-created tracks as well as ones that were intended for his now scrapped project amensalism, which was set to release in 2023.
