Ryan Field is an exciting new artist with his own genre called “Electric R'N'Soul” which is a mix of electronic music, R&B, Funk, Soul and violin. For the last year he has been working alongside Mississauga producer Dominic “Dot” Okune, on his debut album, “The New Beginning” to be released Nov, 2010. Ryan Field is what many would call a triple treat. He began studying the violin at the Royal Conservatory of Music at the tender age of 10 years old, and has since mastered the piano and guitar. Not only is he multi-instrumentalist, but novice vocalist, who studies at the Viva Voce Voice Studio in Toronto and has been for the last 10 years. “The New Beginning” is a unique blend of instruments and was long underway before it's actual release. Ryan spent 2 years collecting sound bites in cities like Harlem and Manhattan, to create the perfect sound. His sultry voice and meaningful lyrics bring everything together, making the album a definite must have this winter 2010. When he isn't in the studio making magic, he's performing at venues throughout the city. Ryan has performed at venues and events like: Lee's Palace, One Mic, The Rivoli, Le Saint Tropez and St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts, just to name a few. But Ryan Field's versatility continues, he is also a guest at the SoulPepper show, under the leadership of master director László Marton. What music artist can say they are also an accomplished actor, playing the young Lean Phelps in the Paramount film, “The Ladies Man”. Ryan Field is no stranger to the camera, he was also a TVOKids host/producer for three years.
