Platinum Sky was an unsigned pop rock band based in Swinton, Manchester, England during the summer of 2004. Consisting of three high school friends, Chris Ogden (vocalist), Sam Grounds (guitarist) and Andy Sant (drummer), Platinum Sky wrote three songs during their tenure, but only one of those was recorded, the party track 'Band in the Bedroom'. The song was so titled due to the band's use of Andy's bedroom as a rehearsal space and recording studio. The band have been on an unofficial hiatus since autumn 2004 after Andy joined the grunge band Well Kept Secret, whom Sam later joined in early 2006. Chris is currently without a serious project, preferring to concentrate on his college education.
