Biography
Phitt (or philippa stanger) was first acknowledged by the music industry as part of the now disbanded (and sorely missed) neo-nazi punk act ‘rub-saw’ whose album ‘faster slaves; this is no chinese picnic’ picked up two brit awards in 1999 (best newcomer and best single – the top ten summer smash ‘my family used to eat people like you for breakfast’). In 2001, after leaving rub-saw, phitt was trapped in a deep bout of severe depression. Having mastered every instrument known to man she became bored with the music she was producing. Her lifeline came in the form of fruity loops; a high tech phenomenon that only a handful of musicians have ever mastered (michael hutchence famously killed himself twice in a row on discovering that he could never master the loops). Phitt, now rejuvenated and full of life, has once again taken the musical world by storm with her mishmash of classical instruments and futuristic style break beats. A film of her life is in postproduction. Billie piper is set to play phitt. Read more on Last.fm.
