Two bands have recorded as Own Little World. One included Bill Mallonee, Bill Holmes, John Mallory, and Steve Walden. The other is a UK-based group who recorded their debut album in 2004. The remainder of this entry refers to the latter band. Own Little World are an UK alternative band featuring Alec Bastin (guitar/vocals), Matt Tooke (drums), and Martin Clement (bass). The band's debut album, Stuff of Myth and Mystery, was released in August 2004 (OLW/Shellshock) and included the single I'm Disappearing, whose disturbing video was written and directed by BAFTA nominee Philip Barnard. (Frontman Alec Bastin went on to write and record the soundtrack to Philip Barnard’s comedy Gone to the Dogs, which starred Tony Booth and Dora Bryan.) The band's second single, If That's How You Say Thank You Then I'm Sorry, was released in October 2006 (Mirabelle Recordings) and is hoped to take its place on the upcoming album, which is still in production at time of writing and is planned for release in late 2008. Read more on Last.fm.
