Originating as the solo musical incarnation of Sonya Chenery, who began writing and performing songs on acoustic and classical guitar in 2006 while studying at art school, (a selection of which are included on the 2009 E.P., 'A Different End', recorded by JMarinosAudio), Nya Shelley is the name which more recently refers to Chenery's work in collaboration with multi-instrumentalist and producer James Edge (of James Edge and the Mindstep). In this incarnation, Nya Shelley has performed so far performed live in 2010, with Chenery's vocals and guitar enhanced by Edge on bass and piano.
