BIOGRAPHY Der in Singapur geborene und in Basel aufgewachsene Silvio Tommasini alias Monoblock B ist schon früh Musikaktivist (Gothik, Punk und EBM) und leidenschaftlicher Musiker. Die erste Band des gelernten med. Masseurs, in der er singt und Gitarre spielt, heiss nicht zufälligerweise „l`amour sauvage“. Ende der Neunzigerjahre zieht es ihn nach Zürich, wo er Spezialmaterial mitgründet. Mit seinen düster-wilden, spektakulären Techno-Punk-Auftritten wird er innert kürzester Zeit zum Underground-Star und es dauert nicht lange, bis er in grösseren Clubs spielte und er von Szenekennern am nationalen TV als „Phänomen“ beschrieben wird.Steht er nicht auf der Bühne, komponiert er Musik für Theaterproduktionen, Performances und Kunstinstallationen.Seine Werke hat Monoblock B bis heute auf sechs Solo-LPs und 20 Compilations veröffentlicht. It is no coincidence that his first band, in which he sang and played guitar, is called “l’amour sauvage”. At the end of the Nineties he moves to Zurich and co-founds Spezialmaterial. With his dark, wild and spectacular shows he is an underground star in no time at all and before long, he plays the big clubs of the town and specialists call him a “phenomenon” on national television. Off stage he creates music for theatre productions, performances and art installations. To date, he has released six solo records and was featured on 20 compilations.
