Minima Moralia is the dark synth-pop solo act of Matthew Ricchini, a Philadelphia based musician and audio engineer. The sound is heavily indebted to Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk, The Knife, Xeno & Oaklander, Minimal Wave records, and early 80’s goth and synthpunk. Though associated with the gritty, often no-fidelity noise and experimental scene, these are pop songs with polished production and an up-front, crooning baritone.
