DJ since 1988. all has started in some clubs in HAMBURG like THE SECRET GARDEN (highclass sommer open air venue) and KONTOR Club 1 & 2 (resident more then 3 years). then bookings all over germany. early 90s first production steps on a atari. built up a small studio located at my friends kitchen. was mixing 12 dj-mix cd compilations for EDEL-, UNIVERSAL and KONTOR RECORDS (f.e. PROGRESSIVE ATTACK, KONTOR - TOP OF THE CLUBS, COOL HOUSE). 92´founded my small production company MENTAL MADNESS PRODUCTIONS. 1995 got the Master Degree of AUDIO ENGENEERING. after first vocal house project SMC UNITY and several remixes (f.e. kool and the gang), first success with the project BOYZ R US (cooperation with Dennis Bohn). asked dennis to join my company. 1996 beginning of the most succsessfull project so far: BROOKLYN BOUNCE. first single of BROOKLYN BOUNCE -THEME OF PROGRESSIVE ATTACK went GOLD in germany. second single GET READY TO BOUNCE was close to become a second GOLD RECORD and has reached the US BILLBOARD CHARTS. BROOKLYN BOUNCE for now was quite popular all over the world. BB has reached another GOLD and PLATINIUM Records in several countrys. after 9 singles and two albums so far, we changed from EDEL RECORDS to SONY MUSIC. 2001 first single for SONY - BASS BEATS AND MELODY was the biggest succsess national and international and brought another GOLD RECORD. from 1996 til now i was playing my DJ SETS in almost every country all over EUROPE, AUSTRALIA, USA and RUSSIA. after the first 2 hitsingles i moved out of my friends kitchen and we build up a superb studio complex with 3 recording studios and offices. for the main control room we got the legendery AMEK MOZART CONSOLE (56 NEVE CHANNELS) from C&C MUSIC FACTORY NYC. on the side of BROOKLYN BOUNCE, REMIXING and DJ´ing, we build up a record label called MENTAL MADNESS RECORDS. the company was growing quite fast. with SONY MUSIC BROOKLYN BOUNCE has released 5 singles, one album, one best of and a compilation. 2003 we moved from SONY to UNIVERSAL RECORDS. 2004 i decided to move out of my own company. after musical and business differences with my partner i left my MENTAL MADNESS PRODUCTIONS to start a new area and build up something fresh without compromises. i went ten steps back, reduced to the max to do just what i like : CLUB MUSIC and DJ´ing without any commercial pressure. i built up again a new studio, just doin´own productions (HOUSE/ELECTRO) now. also REMIXES (f.e.CRYSTAL WATERS GYPSY WOMAN - 2006), productions for other labels (f.e.DONS), ENGINEERING-, MIX and MASTERING JOBS and with a friend i´m currently starting up with 2 new VINYL LABELS at a time when its super tough to sell vinyls at all. since 2006 new dj reidency at hamburgs hottest house club HALO. <a href="https://www.last.fm/music/Matthias+Menck">Read more on Last.fm</a>.
