Maj Karma has released three EPs and ten full-length albums: Kaukana Puhelimista (1996), Iskelmä (EP, 1997), Kaakao (1998), Ääri (2000), Rautaneito (2001), Metallisydän (2003), Musta Paraati (EP, 2004), Sodankylä (2004), Ukkonen (2006), Attentaatti (EP, 2007), Salama (2009), Peltisydän (2016), and 101 Tapaa Olla Vapaa (2018).
The band traditionally had their own festival Karmarock, held every summer in their birthplace Harjavalta. Starting in 1992, Karmarock was originally formed by the band to have at least one place where they could play their music, and later on to feature the band's favourite artists. Until 2024 it also had Maj Karma performing every time, with the exceptions of 2017 when Herra Ylppö was sick, and 2020/2021 due to the Corona virus situation. Despite the band breaking up, the festival is expected to continue to be held yearly.
Starting from 2005, Herra Ylppö began a solo project called Herra Ylppö & Ihmiset .
In August 2023 Herra Ylppö announced he would be leaving the band, and they had a tour of 7 farewell gigs in the summer of 2024, culminating in their final performance at Karmarock 32.
