Joshua Stevenson aka Magneticring has been involved in the underground music community in western canada for the past 13 years. He has played and recorded in a number of Vancouver Based groups such as Staked Plain. He also toured and recorded internationally with Portland based group Jackie-O Motherfucker from 2002 to 2004. All along the way he always has been doing solo work, releasing cassettes and limited CDR's since the early 1990's. His current work under the guise 'Magneticring' uses vintage synthesizer's and old analog equipment. Influences ranging from Javanese Gamelan, Obscure Psychedelic Music, Early German New Age, and 60s/70s electronic music.
