Lulu Van Trapp is more than just a band. It's a totem, a rallying cry.
Their music is a frantic plunge into the depths of the capital where they were born, both humanly and artistically. It's a shifting place where everything intersects, bringing people together in a mix of party and dystopia, an eulogy of beautiful darkness.
From the outset, this chosen family has combined their resolutely punk spirit with a clear pop intent, in the popular sense of the word. They deliver epic, sensitive songs that combine saturated guitars and massive synthesizers.
Their first album, I'm Not Here To Save The World, released in 2021, already saw their sound assert itself, while mobilizing clearly identified genres: rock here, Jamaican music here, English electronica there.
This time around, Lulu Van Trapp announce their comeback with the arrival of their second album LOVECITY, which eschews labels far too narrow to contain the band's aspirations. “Our desire is to play music that everyone can dance to, inclusively. We live in a musically, structurally and psychologically fragmented world. Having a pop approach mobilizes the idea of a crossroads, a musical Constantinople”. Lulu Van Trapp, who can perform in concert halls and festivals as well as during Fashion Week, is a band that can do anything. Read more on Last.fm.
