The Viennese band LIVING LÂCHE don't just play Irish Punk Folk, but also understand Punk as an attitude of creating music ; they have open ears for Funk, Reggae, Jazz and Austrian Folk Music too. If you have a closer look to their music you will soon realise, that their strenght lies in combining tragical and funny elements. The lyrics shift from ironic political statements to a description of very personal difficulties. In the beginning their stile was strongly influenced by English-Punk-Bands like the Clash, or the Sex Pistols. But during they years they've developped their own characteristical style with Celtic and Folk elements, which only slightly reminds of folk-bands like Nyah Fearties, The Pogues and The Men They Couldn't Hang. Seeing Living Lâche live you will soon be charmed by their typical "Wiener Schmäh". And in the end of the evening you surely won't be sober, because this music leads to a cheerful drinking-mood.
