Guitarist / composer Liberty Ellman was born in London, England in 1971. He is loosely associated with the avant-new music related scenes in New York, working with artists like Henry Threadgill, Butch Morris, Greg Osby and Vijay Iyer. He has also contributed to performaces and / or recordings with Joe Clausell, Groove Collective, Mike Ladd and Jen Chapin. Other credits include Barney McAll, Miya Masaoka, Ann Dyer, Chico Hamilton, and Josh Roseman.
