Fred Szymanski is a New York-based sound and image artist. He has released sound pieces under the name Laminar Project with Asphodel Ltd., JDK Productions, Soleilmoon, and Staalplaat. His piece WHORL was part of the Iannis Xenakis PERSEPOLIS Remixes, released by Asphodel Ltd and "Flume" was included in the third a-chronology “An Anthology of Noise and Electronic Music” released by Sub Rosa (Belgium). His image and sound pieces have been performed at various festivals, including the Mutek Festival's RML CineChamber 2012 (Montreal), Club Transmediale 2011 (Berlin), the NYCEMF 2014, ICMC 2014 (Athens), and SonicLIGHT (Amsterdam). Some of the shows he participated in, Abstraction Now (Vienna), the European Media Art Festival (Osnabruck), and the 9th Biennale of the Moving Image (Geneva).
