Kasi (born Jakob-Kasimir Herbst on June 7 , 2000 in Frankfurt am Main) is a German singer and rapper. Kasi was born in Frankfurt am Main and grew up in the Bockenheim district. After graduating from high school, he moved to Freiburg im Breisgau to study media and cultural studies.There he met his producer Antonius , with whom he released his first single, Boys Don't Cry , in June 2022. Because of a record deal offer from Sony , he dropped out of his studies after two semesters in 2023 and has since focused solely on music.In 2023, Kasi performed as a support act for artists such as Badchieff , Ennio , and Mayberg on their tours. He made his breakthrough with his single "immatrikuliert" in November 2023, which received millions of views on TikTok even before its release . In 2024, he played his first solo tour. Musically, Kasi moves between indie , pop punk , and German rap . His songs are mostly emotional and melancholic. He releases all his songs together with his producer Antonius.
