born in february 1971, he didn't start getting serious about music until 1992, djing various clubs around long island and some new york city clubs making hundreds of mix tapes in his basement ranging from hip hop to industrial to techno. taking a trip down to new orleans in 1994 and doing the circut there for a few months then heading back up to new york to spin at such places as voodoo, caffiene, paris, lithium, mesh, pandemonium, area 51, smash light (to name a few) in 1995 joined forces with chris (mr. x) to start up endangered produckt (soon changed to superextender) for a new style of music that involved a drum machine, crude sampling devices, guitars and bass...and a hit of vocal textures. made a few handfuls of songs, played one show, then discovered the art of experimental electronic music in the form of "dudley ghost." here, he feels his "true" calling so while working in dudley ghost. he stepped to the side and worked on some solo stuff under the names ataxia, priapism and jon.dus. each feeding on a different part of the brain. now over 13 years later, he's still hands on and hands in music in any form. varied interests in music, art, film and the written word, he emits a sometimes unsettling and staggered aura when his music is involved. somewhat caustic in nature his solo projects envokes anywhere from horror to soothing.
now mostly recovered from a broken knee, he is set to release a new e.p. in the second quarter of 2009 with fellow superextender/dudley ghost. partner after a 10 year hiatus...right now you can download his "...and sometimes i think u want me all the time" for free here on last.fm.
