Joint was founded in November 1969 in Zurich, Switzerland by Italian-born Giovanni "Giovi" Russo. The members were strictly amateurs and played music only in their spare time, rehearsing in a cellar three nights each week. Their one and only single was released in mid-February 1971 and included the songs [song]Collage[/song] (a wonderful cover of the James Gang song of the same name) and [song]Remember[/song]. In the 1990s Giovanni "Giovi" Russo became very popular in Switzerland with the band Giovi & The Rubber Soul, and later formed "Russo", with whom he plays music to this day.
