John is the man behind tribal/fetish industrial outfit Sleepchamber, and the sexy SS Fetish ambient project Women of the SS. Although he has released countless CDs and LPs and tapes, both as Sleepchamber and W of the SS, long out of print or re-issued, he remains an extremely underrated and relatively unknown artist in the so called "industrial" community. But he has a cult following, where if someone loves his stuff, he/she will seek out all he/she can by this artist. He is also one of the first people who worked with M. Moynahan from Blood Axis, then as a teen kid known as "Coup de grace", on Sleepchamber's seminal "Submit to Desire" LP. JOHN ZEWIZZ started recording music in 1979 as "GREEN SEX"-(a 7' 33rpm vinyl single). The following year he experimented with his first 'Industrial music' with ZE WIZZ KIDZ-( a c-60) of early drum machine & synth music. His first real concept was SLEEP CHAMBER in Oct.31,1982. (a 7' 33rpm vinyl 3-song EP). Up to date he has released over 50 cassettes,12 Vinyl LP's-(not counting bootlegs), 8 vinyl singles, 3 vinyl 12' singles, 15 VHS tapes, 30 CD's-(not counting bootlegs ),and 6 full length DVDs by SLEEPCHAMBER. Although not as prolific but close is his 'other' music concepts : WOMEN OF THE SS, HIDIOUS IN STRENGTH, DAZE OF TRANCE and smaller projects created by him: DOKUMENT, CULT OV THE WOMB, NOIZECLOT, THE MAHCANIK, and has worked on releases by SEVEN FROM LIFE, JONATHAN BRILEY-(solo music), GRAY GHOST, ARCHANGELS OV SEX, and THE GOVERNMENT. He is still current with SLEEPCHAMBER playing the past 2 Halloweens-(SC Anniversary ) and has released a solo CD "2012"...and with SLEEPCHAMBER : (2000-2012) "SORCERY SPELLS & SERPANT CHARMS" CD, SOUNDTRAX-(limited edition CD), "STOLEN SLEEP"CD, "SPECIES INTTERRUPTUS" CD-(best of German Tour 97), "STRATOCAST" CD-(Live FM broadcast 1/1/11), "STOLAS" CD, "STRIPTEASE" CD, "SACRIFICE" CD,"SEREMONY" CD, SILVERSTAR-(merry X-mas CD) and "SCOPOLAMINE" CD. There has been some reissued CD collections of early & unreleased material like "SIX SIX SIX" (4-vinyl LP-box set with 7'vinyl EP & booklet).and the complete SATANIC SANCTION collection of material on an import "KLANG GALLERIES" CD. This is not counting bootleg vinyl, CD's & DVDs that have been released by fans. SLEEPCHAMBER is an underground band-(turning down 2 contracts in the USA with major labels) and is what is known as a "Cult" band or has a "Cult" following. Main themes being Fetishes, Bondage, the Occult, Magick, Sorcery, Sexuality, Individuality, and Enlightenment. Strongly active through THE JOHN ZEWIZZ SOCIETY, and after being banished by You-Tube & Google+( for overly sexual videos) was on "VIMEO" where his videos are unedited. His only concerns are people selling his products-(AMAZON) without contract or permission of any kind. He is currently working on copyright law suits . Lastly, it seems like all the SLEEPCHAMBER releases are titled with S. (over 30 CDs) John Zewizz is currently going under the name on facebook JOHN CROW. He is still currently releasing music-JOHN ZEWIZZ~ "Fever" also projects that include VAMPYRESS and a New Sleepchamber track "Succubus". Zewizz aka John Crow is currently working with old friend Eugene Difrancisco along with Spike Devitt and Tick finishing up what seems to be The Last SLEEP CHAMBER CD. Working titles floating around but Zewizz seems to favor "SUBVERSION". Its the current working title. They are also joined by West Coast musician KAY TUE. Being very unhappy with WIKIPEDIA page on him (John Zewizz) Has launched a New Web Site called JOHN ZEWIZZ-The Ultimate Minority. Since WIKIPEDIA does not allow input from the Subject. They have been unwilling to post ANY photos or even any of their 'double E logos'. Even after owners of the photos claimed "impossible to deal with WIKIPEDIA "... Zewizz introduces with his Pre-Birth-(yep) to the current 2022 time period. Corrects anxious fans with proof (not self promotion) on everything missing from the WIKIPEDIA paragraph. You will be amazed at just what has been left out/forgotten/not known about John Zewizz. After 40+ years of music including many musical ventures launching bands and musicians into a starlight they never would have reached on their own. At the age ov 67 Zewizz seems unstoppable. He has always taken his different styles of music very serious. From Electronic to Ritual. From Polyphonic rhythm songs to Industrial-Gothic anthems. Always including eroticism and fetishism along the way. Which has cost SLEEPCHAMBER many removals of videos on You Tube. Zewizz never Sold-Out or bought into the establishments fraud and empty promises of fame and riches. Since correcting WIKIPEDIA on facts strangely his Pay Pal account and Debit card became "INVALID" -(the same day). Maybe nothing? Make no mistake, whatever fool you think that Zewizz is playing with only reflects your education of this situation. His talent comes from emotion and esoteric virtues. Zewizz sees himself as an entertainer not a musician. Even though he has written most all originals songs, he produces by experience and ear. Mr Zewizz carries a heavy reputation of all sorts of stories and rumors. He does not see himself as part of any music hash tag. His music is his life. Popularity is not part of it.
