Jimmy Drew Was Born In Portsmouth Virginia On April 1 1964 ,He Grew Up Listening To 50's, & 60's Music But The Music Bug Hit Him When He First Heard Rush Fly By Night Around 1976. He First Picked Up And Dabbled With His First Guitar At That Time ,It Was A Silvertone That Actually Had Been Given To His Brother By His Cousin. Jimmy Self Taught Himself And Landed His First Gig With The Band Blue Wilma (Named After A Poor Girl Pulled From A Local Frozen Lake)In 1978. Jimmy Continued Learning And Then He Says He Heard R.E.M,Let's Active,Love Tractor,The Windbreakers And Engrossed Himself In Southern Alternative Rock ,In 1984 He Formed The Band Strange Advice Which Gigged Around The Tidewater Area Mostly, In 1988 He Formed The Image Bank Which Cut Demos Also But The Band Only Played One Gig Before Dissolving. Around 1989 He Was Asked To Play Rythm Guitar And Sing The Occasional Song For Va.Beach's Own Killer Neighbors, Bigger Gig's Came And A C.D Followed In 1994 But Inner Turmoil During Recording Caused Jimmy To Drop Out Halfway In The Sessions Of Been There Done That ,The C.D Was Produced By Flock Of Seagulls Mike Marquett. After His Depature From The Killer Neighbors Jimmy Played Gig's Occasionaly Solo And Sometimes Opening For Different Local Bands,He Played Shortly With A Band Called Les Distracted Also,In 1997 He Recorded His First Solo Album For Those Who Have A Clue. Around 1998 Jimmy Became Ill With Crohns Disease And Had To Retire From A Full Time Music Career To Tend To His Health. Still Known To Pop Up And Play A Surprise Show Here And There Jimmy Is Currently Working On A New C.D To Be Done On 24 Track.
