Jami Violet Everett, better known as jami veret, has been the drummer of Avalon since 2025, and Rhythm Room since 2024. Born in Philadelphia in 2006, she started playing the drumset at age ten and lists her early influences as Stevie Wonder, Led Zeppelin and Rush. Her first band was a hard rock duo called Lugnnut Papercut (sometimes spelled Lugnut Papercut) that performed cover songs such as ‘American Girl’ by Tom Petty, whereas afterwards she joined Soup Sandwich, a group that played fusion songs like ‘Red Clay’ by Freddie Hubbard. Between September 2022 and August 2024, veret sporadically recorded her solo single, ‘slingshot into modernity’, which was released in June 2025.
