Jacksonville is a bloke called Chris who lives in Leeds. He makes dance music in the house tradition in styles variously decribed as "deep house", "tech house" and "minimal house". As well as recording and performing his own material, Jacksonville is a sought after re-mix artist. As Chris, he is also a music producer and sound engineer. The production/sound engineering side is very influential on Jacksonville's music, wherein minimal disco house beats are overlayed with a kaleidoscope of sound samples to create a subtle but complex sonic landscape.
